Understand product performance using Explain
The Product Analysis visualization provides insightful KPIs of the product performance for the last seven days and detailed information about how the total score is obtained for a specific product.
Getting started with Product Analysis
You land in the Product Analysis visualization from the Search view of the Playboard's Explain tool. After launching a query in the search bar (or selecting a top query bubble) from the Explain main screen, the product cards display in the results grid. By hovering over a product card, you see the Product Analysis clickable label where you can access the visualization.
The Product Analysis view contains two sections to display relevant data about the product being analyzed:
Product details
On the left, below the product image, insightful product details and metrics are displayed:
- Image: Image of the product.
- Name: Name of the product.
- Product ID: ID of the product.
- Position on the SERP: Position of the product on the Search Engine Results Page (SERP).
- KPIs: Several relevant metrics obtained during the last 7 days.
- Clicks: Number of clicks made on the product.
- Add2carts: Number of times the product has been added to the cart.
- Avg. Position: Average position of the product on the SERP.
Product scoring
The total score (D) applying to the product is displayed on the right. The tag also indicates if the product is boosted or buried. The scoring criteria affecting the product are detailed in two different ways:
- Product score chart (C): Each part of the semi-circle pie chart represents a scoring criterion applying to the product. By clicking one of them, the configuration that this criterion encompasses is unfolded. Click again to discover more details; hover over the different parts, or click the arrow on the left to return.
- Product score table (E): The table details the configurations and other scoring criteria affecting the product. To get more information, check the Product Score Panel section of the Search view.
Comparing the product performance with another query
You can compare a product's performance with two different queries by clicking the right-left arrow icon (F) at the top right corner. The first query is already being analyzed, and the second one must be entered in the search box on the right.
The data provided for the products being compared is the same as for the first product being analyzed, as explained above. Consider, however, that the information on the right corresponds to the product performance related to the second query entered. This way, the product's detailed data is presented side by side so you can compare the performance of the analyzed product with two different queries.
