Facets now part of Play section
The Playboard v5.2.0 update brings significant improvements to the Facets management tool, making it easier to handle and configure facets for your commerce store.
The first of the changes is that the facets section has been relocated and now lives within the Play section. This change groups all tooling together, streamlining the workflow and making it more intuitive to find and configure facets alongside your other Playboard tools.
With the second improvement, you can now configure facets for the browse context without specifying a particular browseField or browseValue. This gives you more flexibility when setting up browsing experiences, allowing for broader or more dynamic facet configurations.
The facets configuration list now includes a new Context column. This column displays the configuration context for each facet, helping you quickly understand when your configuration applies to search or browsing situations.
These changes are designed to improve usability and give you more control over how facets are managed and displayed in the Playboard. Don’t wait any longer to see these updates in action and visit the Play section in your Playboard now!

Related Prompts revolution
Empathy Platform continues to revolutionize the future of commerce search with the launch of Related Prompts. This new AI-powered technology is designed to make search experiences more conversational, intuitive, and human-centric. This release additionally introduces two powerful enhancements: Prompt Metrics and the Related Prompts management tool, giving you deeper insights and greater control over your search optimization strategy.
Related Prompts transforms how shoppers interact with your commerce store by delivering natural language search suggestions that mimic real conversations. Instead of static filters or generic recommendations, Related Prompts dynamically generates contextually relevant questions that help shoppers clarify or broaden their queries based on intent, making it easier to find the right products quickly and effortlessly. This approach not only streamlines product discovery but also fosters a more engaging and personalized shopping journey.
Prompts are created using proprietary, privacy-compliant large language models (LLMs) that run on Deepseek and operate on self-hosted GPUs, supporting data governance and shopper trust. This ensures prompts are contextually relevant, human-like, and not reliant on historical data, solving the cold start problem and adapting instantly to your catalog.
Thanks to the Prompt Metrics analytics dataviz, accessible from the Playboard Insights section, you gain actionable insights into how Related Prompts perform in your store. You can monitor engagement metrics to understand which prompts drive the best results and identify areas for improvement.
With the Related Prompts management tool, accessible from the Play section of the Playboard, you take full control of your conversational search experience. You can show or hide synthetic prompts and turn on or off the curated ones to align them with your brand voice and product catalog.
Related Prompts is more than a search enhancement; it’s a strategic shift towards a more empathetic, engaging, and effective commerce experience. Ready to transform your commerce search? Request a demo today and explore Related Prompts and how the new management and analytics features can elevate your search and discovery experience.

Product Analysis in Explain
Continuing with the Explain functionality transformation that started with the already announced inclusion of the Query Analysis view, a new member joins the family: Product Analysis.
Product Analysis is a powerful tool that provides valuable insights into product performance over the last seven days. It offers detailed information on how a specific product's total score is calculated. As a product manager, merchant, or search analyst, this view, accessible from the Search view of the Playboard's Explain tool, allows you to dive deep into product metrics and scoring criteria, enabling data-driven decision-making.
The Product Analysis view is divided into two main sections: Product Details and Product Scoring:
The Product Details section displays essential information about the product and key performance indicators (KPIs), such as clicks, add-to-cart actions, and average position, for the past week. These metrics provide a comprehensive product performance overview, allowing product managers to track important engagement and conversion metrics.
The Product Scoring section offers a detailed breakdown of the scoring criteria affecting the product. You can explore configurations by clicking on different segments of a semi-circular chart. Additionally, a product score table provides in-depth information on the configurations and other scoring criteria influencing the product's performance.
This granular view of scoring factors enables product managers, merchants, and analysts like you to understand the various elements contributing to a product's success or areas needing improvement. Above all, it helps you make more informed decisions based on your business strategy.

Interface X upgraded to Vue.js 3
Empathy Platform continues to evolve to offer the best search and discovery experience in your commerce store. In line with this commitment, Interface X—the cornerstone of Empathy Platform's user experience—has been migrated to Vue 3(opens new window). This upgrade ensures Interface X remains reliable, secure, and easy to maintain while paving the way for future feature development and innovation.
By adopting Vue 3(opens new window), Empathy Platform leverages Vue.js's improved architecture and performance enhancements, introducing significant improvements over Vue 2. These benefits include a smaller bundle size, improved rendering performance, and enhanced TypeScript support. As a result, shoppers will experience a faster, smoother, and more reliable search and discovery journey. Additionally, the new architecture provides a more robust and maintainable codebase, allowing frontend development teams to deliver new features and improvements more efficiently.
Regarding scalability and efficiency, Vue 3 introduces the Composition API(opens new window), a new approach to managing component logic. This shift makes code easier to organize, reuse, and maintain, giving developers more flexibility to scale and enhance the platform over time.
This migration was carefully planned to minimize disruption. Developers and integration engineers will experience a seamless transition without immediate changes to the Empathy Platform's user interface or workflow. Under the hood, the upgrade to Vue 3 lays the foundation for future enhancements and optimizations, creating a flexible, scalable architecture that supports ongoing innovation.
